WHO ARE WE?

The Canadian Anti-ICE Network is a coalition of organizations united by a shared primary focus: fighting American fascism by getting ICE out of Canada. We do not require alignment on every issue. Our member organizations bring diverse commitments and campaigns. What we share is this:

  1. We are anti-ICE. ICE is a paramilitary extension of a fascist administration. Amnesty International has documented that ICE’s conduct amounts to torture. ICE has killed innocent civilians without accountability or repercussion. Its presence and influence in Canada is unacceptable.
  2. We understand the connections. ICE does not operate in isolation. Its expansion into Canada connects to homegrown anti-migrant politics and the normalization of authoritarian enforcement, including through CBSA militarization and “Canada First” political movements.
  3. We see the broader picture. These systems are embedded in global structures of repression. Our work here is part of a wider struggle.

Within this network, our shared anchor is the first point.

Member organizations can and should continue their broader work. We simply ask that when we act together here, getting ICE out of Canada is what guides us.

WHAT THE NETWORK DOES

Rather than functioning as a unified organization with a single set of campaign goals, the Canadian Anti-ICE Network exists to:

  1. Share information: targets, protest outcomes, tactics, legal updates, and other intelligence relevant to anti-ICE organizing across cities.
  2. Amplify:  share and boost one another’s actions, events, and communications through our collective channels when they are meaningful to our communities.
  3. Coordinate: connect organizations working on shared targets (GardaWorld, Hootsuite, Roshel, US Consulate ICE Field Offices, and others) to avoid duplication and build mutual reinforcement.
